The DGT Easy+ is a basic chess clock that truly is simple in design. If you're looking for a clock that you can learn in 1 or 2 minutes, it's a decent choice. The options are very limited, but here's what it does offer.
The distinct advantage of this clock is the DELAY FEATURE. A 5 second delay is most typical. This means you can choose your time and delay length. Before the time starts counting down, the 5 seconds must expire. There is also a BONUS option. This means you can accumulate time if you move faster than the bonus allotted time.
Instead of offering many presets, you simply set the desired time and start using the clock. Next time it's turned on it will have the same time setting as it defaults to the last one you used.
It has both GAME TIMING and MOVE TIMING modes. One will time the whole game, and the other will time each move and reset after each move. This could be useful if you want to play 30 seconds per move.
When setting the times, just make sure that both sides of the timer are blinking so you can adjust both player's times at once.
It runs on 2 AA batteries. There is no contrast adjustment. To reset, remove the batteries. The display appears in a navy blue color despite the clearly gray and black design of the clock.
The DGT EASY+ CHESS CLOCK is good for beginners to intermediate chess players. The features are basic yet suitable for most chess players.

beginners to intermediate players only? Can you outline the reasons why it's not for advanced players??
