A very nice table board. What is the cost?
How much is that table you just advertised?
Ken Walker
Ken, it is $795. If you already own a 21″ Player Board, there’s a price savings of $299 to opt-out of the board surface.

It is a BEAUTIFUL table to look at. But it is difficult for a practical play, even at home, and not just in tournament.
As mentioned before, there is no room to put 1. the captured pieces, 2. the clock, 3. the score sheet, 4. and even
the player’s elbows (!)
But my wife might like it to put a vase with flowers on.
It looks very beautiful. I’ve made similar tables, and learned one thing: The top needs wider side margins off the board to put captured pieces on as the game progresses.
Bill, thank you for your thoughts on ideal design and for your kind comment. I agree that a place for captured pieces is an important consideration for table design.
With this particular model, I chose emphasis on several things.
1. Minimalist appearance and foot print in the living room, being more adaptable.
2. Dual purpose Table and Chess Board playable as either.
3. Easy to assemble and disassemble without need for special tools or hardware.
4. Compact by design when transported or stored.
To keep the overall dimensions minimal, in this first model I counter-intuitively chose to leave captured pieces placement up to the player to use a nearby piece of furniture, the 2″ perimeter of the Player board, or inside the table by raising the surface with the levers. None of them are ideal for the perfectionist so there is an upcoming feature planned for this table for those that like this design but still wish to have room for captured pieces or a chess timer within the bounds of the table itself.
Looks beautiful ! ( I didn’t see the price yet…)
Too bad there is no room for the clock, or the score.
Thank you Marian! I take your comment to heart and that’s a design in the works. As mentioned in the reply to Bill, this particular table emphasizes a few other elements over edge space. But I totally agree that’s an important aspect to think about.
How much do they cost including shipping to 93535 ? Thanks !
The shipping is $5 and it arrives in just a few business days to Lancaster, CA.

VERY NICE
Thank you Wes
Dear Sir or Madam,
Good evening. I hope you will not be offended. But his table design is terrible, why? Where do you suppose the players to place the captured pieces? In their pockets? Please make the table bigger, in both length and width, please, please. If you have been to the famed Mechanics Institute Chess Club in San Francisco, you will understand what I mean. They have solid wood chess tables maybe 90 years old, and they are big!
Thank you for reading.
Dear Haibo,
That’s a fantastic recommendation and I thank you so much for being direct. This particular table does to some degree stare convention in the face and ask the player to be a little creative with captured pieces. This table design focuses on other elements of visual appeal and fine workmanship.
We do have a surprise awaiting though for this very table that addresses your concern about the space.
Oh my word! My wish list grows inexorably longer.
And yet, this magnificent chess table, although a newcomer to said list, manages to spearhead it in bold italics!
Sean, that’s great! =)
Allow the skirts in front of each player to rotate out so captured pieces can be easily stored.
Thanks for the suggestion! We have a slight modification to this design that extends to either side by 4″ for captured pieces and a timer.
